Free haircut day.
It’s that time of the year again, before school opens, that we have our “Free Haircut Day”, and 116 boys and girls ages 3-12 years old participated in this event. Once again the Museo was fortunate to have 4 generous barber volunteers, so the whole activity lasted only for one day or about 8 hours. In the past years, “Free Haircut Day” would last for 3 days, making it into “Free Haircut Days”. I guess the weather has really taken a turn, making the days so much warmer, resulting in the kids getting their haircuts away before “Free Haircut Day”.
A short lecture and demonstration on proper care for the hair, the importance of daily bath, and even the correct way of brushing one’s teeth is presented to the children.
As Fran Lebowitz said “You’re only as good as your last haircut.”
